We had our appointment with the Perinatologist and she confirmed the 2 Vessel Umbilical Cord with baby. The three main concerns with this are chromosome, heart, and kidney problems. The ultrasound showed no signs of problems with the kidneys at this point. Yeah! Ultrasounds only show 50% of heart problems but they didn't see anything wrong there either. Yeah! The specialist recommended a fetal echocardiagram to get a more in depth look of the heart, but the hubby and I have decided to forego this option since there are no other signs of major problems. We did a maternal blood test called a Quad screening to find out if the baby was at high risk for chromosome problems like Downs, etc. and that also came back as a low risk. Praising the Lord for all of this good news!! This is just another testament to how nothing is impossible with our Powerful God. We will continue to monitor baby's growth closely through our local hospital and Dr. and pray that God continues to keep this baby healthy and growing.
