Mother's Day

The first highlight of May was Mother's Day. It was more than just a one day event for me. I took the kids to a local flower shop where they could pick out and plant their own flowers for mother's day. Each brought their own pot and picked a special flower for each of the grandma's and one for me. Here they are each having a good time.
Another afternoon was spent at school for a Mother's Tea, where Minime and LiviJ's classes gave a fun little program with lots of wonderful singing and each class also doing some skits. Here is Minime as one of the narrator's in her class's skit.
Here is LiviJ reciting her piece during one of her class's skits.
And, by the end of Mother's Day, I had accumulated some wonderful heartfelt gifts which included roses from the hubby, a potted flower, balloon and card from all the kids, a butterfly windchime that Minime made for me at school, a "flower pot wind chime" that Minime made at Gems, and a cup that LiviJ decorated for me at school. All were thoughtful, handpicked or made with love, and appreciated.
