Her birthday was on June 10 and when asked what she wanted to do, she said, "Go camping". So I pulled the camper out to "The 3 Mile Island" on Monday the 9th and came home Wednesday, the 11th. It was really nice. The weather was perfect and the campground was pretty much empty so they had free reign of the place. At first they were upset when they found out no one else was going camping with us (after all, just mom would be boring!) but they'd have to admit they had a great time. We played on the playground, played ball, ran under the sprinkler, watched movies and played candyland. Tuesday night while we were there, we invited the S side over for a birthday picnic and "horsie" games. Here are some pictures.
We had her bday party with the F side at our house on Sunday for dinner. That was a great time too. The two girls and Josh played on LiviJ's new "pony" while everyone else got in a good game of ball. It was a lot of fun.
We also took her birthday as a good opportunity to do Sparklers-attached with the following poem that I wrote:
We'll start the New Year with a bang
'Cause on January three
We're adding another firecracker
To our family!
