Hectic Schedule

Here I was, so afraid MiniMe wouldn't like preschool. Well, she does, but I have other "situations" at hand that I didn't count on - or think about. First of all, the running! I feel like I spend half my days throwing kids in the car, buckling them, drive a little, get kids back out of the car. Only to find that it's time to throw them back in the car, buckle them, drive a little, and gets kids back out of the car. I spend more time getting all the kids in the car, than it actually takes me to drive MiniMe to school.

Then there's LiviJ to deal with. It starts every morning. She hops on the scale in our bathroom and asks, "Is I big yet mom?" You are growing fast darling, but not big enough yet for preschool. You're starting Sunday school this week, though, will that help? The look tells me, "No". Dropping MiniMe off at school is always heartbreaking. Not for me or MiniMe, but for LiviJ. We've gotten past the crocidile tears (most of the time), but her face is so sad and so disappointed. So, I'm usually promising an afternoon of fun - painting fingernails, making puzzles, coloring, etc. I'm so used to the girls going off and playing together and I don't hear from them for hours. I don't mind playing with LiviJ, but it's just another change in our "routine" that I'm still getting used to.

Then there's Bman. The preschool hours cut right into his nap time. I've tried to hold off on his nap until after we bring MiniMe away - NOT THE ANSWER! Mr Cranky Pants won't hold off that long. So, I've tried to put him down early. Doesn't usually work either. Right now he is going down when he normally does and I wake him up to bring MiniMe away. That works good until late afternoon when he, oh so politely, tells me, "You woke me up early this morning, and now I'm tired again. I'm going to take another nap now, but don't expect me to go to bed early tonight."

Oh yes, we are having fun adjusting to our "school" schedule. Right now most of you are saying to the computer, "It only gets worse!" Well, I can't hear you :) Hope everyone is having a good day!
