Update

Sorry I've been a lousy blogger lately. But December proved to be a very hard month for me emotionally. Everyone told me that the time around my due date would be hard. I kind of blew it off at the time because I thought, "I'm doing pretty good. I'll be fine." But December rolled in, along with the depression that I just couldn't shake. I tried to party happily, but I'm not sure if I was all that convincing :) New Year's came and went and now 2009 is a new beginning. I do feel like I'm starting to get back on top of things, lightening up, and enjoying time with the kids. We really did have a good time as a family at Christmas and if I just spend a little quality time with them, they never fail to bring a smile to my face.

Here is the fam "making" Minime's present from Santa - a bean bag chair. Bman wanted to help, but couldn't reach, so he cleverly got a step stool and was able to join in the process. Smart boy.
Here is our future princess/musician! She wanted a "Bitar" from Santa and was thrilled when Santa pulled through for her! She also wants a real pony, but "Santa couldn't find one before Christmas, so he's going to keep looking."
And give Bman anything farm related and he's a happy boy! This is his new tractor with a "stoop", but he also loves his new "pompine" with the interchangeable "cone head" and "bean head". (What amazes me is that he knows the difference).
Our "family" gift was a piano. It was free, but I really wanted to start introducing music to the kids. Here they are dusting it off.
We had a great time singing Christmas songs around it. It always cheered me up. I'd play the tune out of the book and one of the kids would pound on the low end and one kid would pound on the high end and we'd sing at the top of our lungs and giggle. I'm sure we sounded horrific, but it created beautiful smiles and great memories and I can't wait till they actually learn to play it.
Anyways, we spent a lot of time talking about the true meaning of Christmas and it always brought peace to my heart. We pray that 2009 blesses each of you!
