Tough Cookie

Had to share this story of LiviJ. She had to get her booster shots yesterday. I prepared her and told her where we were going and what they were going to do so that she didn't have a meltdown at the Dr when the needles came out. At first she didn't want to go and I said that was fine, I could cancel the appt, but then she couldn't go to preschool. It was her decision. She went off for awhile and then came back and said, "Mom, I'm going to get my shots and I'm not even going to cry." I said, if you're a big girl I'll take you to Walmart and you can pick out something special. So, we off to the Dr. She sat on my lap, they gave her her shots, she tensed up a little bit, she hopped down, and wanted me to take her to preschool. The nurses were all astonished at how she didn't cry and wished they would have video taped it :) She is such a tough cookie. She can do anything she puts her mind too. It's just such a good example of her personality. They gave her a Curious George book, stickers, a coloring book w/colors and a gift certificate to Hardees. But, she still made me hold my promise and so I took her to Walmart where she picked out a Care Bear bouncy ball.

I also had a Dr appt yesterday. Can't believe I'm 16 weeks already. Still not feeling too well, but summer helps make the time go a litle faster.
