Party Time

Been celebrating Minime's 5th bday all weekend. On Friday night, the night of her actual birthday, daddy took us all to see a movie in the "movie feeter", upon Minime's request. On the way there she said, "Mom, am I supposed to feel different that I'm five? Because I don't feel any different." :) We saw 'Horton Hears A Who'. It was cute for the little kids and LiviJ was even lauhing out loud at parts. On Saturday I took the girls to a "concert" at the BJ Haan Auditorium of The Lowe Family. They got a big kick out of that and we took pictures with the "rock stars" afterwards.

Sunday was the big party with my side at my mom's house. Minime picked out a swimming cake, so we decorated Beach Style and went with that theme.

The kids played a little game where they had to wear a floaty, put an egg on a sand scoop and race to be the first one to get it in the sand bucket with out dropping the egg. They had a great time and even Bman had to try. But, there are no losers and all were rewarded with a gift pack of sunglasses and arm floaties.

And, here she is with her bday presents from the S side. My brother made the barbie doll house (meant to be for both the girls) and I painted it and put in the carpet/linoleum. It turned out great and they both love it! I have to admit, even I was begging to go home so that we could play barbies:)

We had a lot of fun and will celebrate next Sunday with the hubby's side.
