Miss Independent

I have two little girls who try every which way to be the most independent individuals that they can be. I try not to smother that individuality, but some days it just goes to far.

LiviJ wants to pick out her own clothes....
Um, are we going out in public anywhere today? No? Then yes, you may where that beautiful flowered ensemble that you chose. And notice the headband that has to be worn in precisely that position so that it has no purpose except to be a beautiful head piece.

Then there's Minime who has to do her own hair...
She looks at me as if this is my fault! After her bath, Minime decided to "curl" her hair with a round brush. Seemed logical until this happened. Live and learn. My guess is she won't do it again =) I'm sure her teacher wonders some times how those hair ties wound up with that outfit she's wearing, but that is Minime's "thing" right now - she has to have a say in how her hair is done and looks. Whatever. Miss 5 going on 16.
