All about me!

Last year, about this time, I decided I wanted to do something for myself and get braces. I made the appointment for this past January 9. Well, on Jan 3 I quit my job. I struggled with whether or not to proceed with my selfish plan since I wasn't going to be bringing in any money. But, the hubby encouraged me and said that if after 10 yrs of working, this is what I wanted to do for myself, then I should do it -- because it's probably going to be one of the last things you get to do for yourself for a long time. Very true. So, I got my braces and had them on for 9 months and finally got them off this past Friday! I need to wear a clear retainer full time for a few months and then I only have to wear it at night after that. I'm very pleased with them and am glad I did it.
More about selfish me -- After the birth of my son, I really wanted to lose some weight. But, I'm the type of person who needs to have an incentive to get started. What could I work towards that I would only get if I lost the weight? It didn't take me long to come up with it! Everyone knows my mower is a piece of junk. Everyone knows I want a new one. But everyone also knows my hubby has NO intentions of getting a different one. So, I made him a bet. If I lost 20 lbs, he had to get me a new mower (and I get to help pick it out). He reluctantly made the bet, but I'm here to proudly announce that I am 23 lbs lighter and the hubby is out mower shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!Wahoo!!!!!!!!!

Well, that's enough about me. The kids are doing great. MiniMe loves preschool and LiviJ is getting used to MiniMe being "dong" every other day. She loves Sunday School and that has helped tremendously to have something that makes her feel "big like MiniMe". Bman is still working out the napping kinks, but we're making it work. He's teething right now, so that's not helping the situation much, but overall he's a very happy little boy.

Also, congratulations to my brother and sister in law who are expecting their 3rd child in May!
