Vacation

The kids and I just got back from a 6 day vacation. My mom's whole side gets together once a year for a De Jong reunion and this year we went to Omaha. It was hot, but we had a great time! Here at home we had 1.8 inches of much needed rain while I was gone. I guess that means I need to go away more often :) I've attached some pictures of our fun week.

Each family gets a different colored tshirt and then we take a huge group picture. That way it's easy to see which people belong to which family. My family obviously has gray. Here are the kids with their DJ Campout shirts on.

One day we went to the Zoo. The girls LOVED it! MiniMe's favorite were the gorillas and the penguins. LiviJ's favorite was the TALL giraffe. Bman's favorite was the nap. It was so hot, that this is the way he was most comfortable. But all 3 did really good.

One hot evening we did the paddle boats. Here is a picture of the girls in the boat with their life jackets. I paddled, MiniMe steered, and LiviJ just sat and enjoyed. We had a great time and the girls absolutely loved it. It was definitely the best 5 bucks I spent all week!

We were home no more than an hour and LiviJ comes and whispers in my ear and says, "Mommy, when are we going camping again?" So I know she loved it. MiniMe had a great time too, but she needs a little more home-time before we venture out again. She missed her daddy terribly. Bman became a hyper-spaz when we got home. He must have been sick of being confined to the excersaucer, playpin, carseat and stroller, because he flew back and forth across the house yelling and laughing. I've never seen him crawl so fast. He was so excited about his freedom to roam!!
